| Friday, February 12 - Foundations of the Modern State |
Visit the Holon Museum to experience "Dialogue in the Dark"
or "Invitation to Silence," a fascinating simulation of what it
is like to be blind or deaf. Browse through unique craft items
in Nahalat Binyamin's colorful, open-air market, and see
modern Tel Aviv in action. Shabbat evening services at Israeli
Reform synagogue Beit Daniel. Festive Shabbat dinner at
the hotel.

Shabbat services on the beach or in the hotel with Rabbi
Kaiserman. Day at leisure to relax or explore Tel Aviv
stores, museums, and vibrancy on one's own, including free
Israeli dancing on the boardwalk. Evenings choices include
sampling the wide array of Tel Aviv's culinary, cultural, and
entertainment options.

| Sunday, February 14 - Digging Israel |
At the "Dig for a Day" program at Beit Guvrin, have a handson
experience in archeology as you uncover actual artifacts
while taking part in an actual archeological dig; "cave crawl"
available for the adventurous. Create your own beautiful
painted wooden Judaica item, in an enjoyable workshop at the
Kakadu art studio. Explore the magnificently excavated
ancient city of Tzippori; discover ancient beauty and evidence
of a community in which Jews and Romans coexisted
peacefully.

| Monday, February 15 - Tiberias and the Golan Heights |
In Tiberias, visit Dona Gracia House to become acquainted
with the fascinating life of this 16th century Jewish heroine
via dramatic story-telling. Ascend the Golan Heights. At the
peak of Har Bental, enter army bunkers and take in a
panoramic view at the crossroads of three countries. See the
Golan Heights as we travel by jeep, off the beaten track,
and stop to gaze down over the Galilee as the Syrians once
did Taste the fruits of the region in the form of award-winning
wines at the Golan Winery. Free evening on the magical
Tiberias promenade.

| Tuesday, February 16 - In the Footsteps of Jewish
Mystics, Crusaders, and Saladin |
Enjoy views of Lake Kinneret, also called the Sea of Galilee
where Jesus walked on water. Tour the synagogues, courtyards,
and shops of the mystical city of Tzefat, including
free time for shopping. Visit a Kabbalistic artist in his studio.
Explore Belvoir Castle, a beautifully restored Crusader
fortress with a magnificent view of the Jordanian Gilad
Mountains. Continue south for the ascent to Jerusalem.
Take in a breathtaking view of the Old City of Jerusalem,
illuminated in the evening, with a special ceremony. Group
dinner at Minaret Restaurant.

| Wednesday, February 17 - Jerusalem of Old
|
Enter the Old City of Jerusalem. Explore the Southern Wall
Excavations and learn about the workings of the ancient
Temple at the Davidson Center. Travel through many
centuries as you tour the Jewish Quarter, with free time for
lunch and shopping in the Cardo.
First timers: In the Kotel Tunnels, walk alongside the
massive foundation stones of the Western Wall.
Repeat visitors: Take an Old City walking tour to the Church
of the Holy Sepulchre, Coptic Village, Arab and Armenian
Quarters.
Help those less fortunate as you prepare a meal at a
Jerusalem soup kitchen. Free evening in Jerusalem.

Early departure for the ascent by snake path or cable car to
Masada. Tour this impressive excavation and discuss the

trek through the desert and a delicious lunch and Bedouin
hospitality in a Bedouin tent. Stop for a dip and mud baths at

Yehuda open-air market for the most delicious pastries and
foods. Shabbat services at Yozma in Mevasseret Tzion,
Emanu-El's longtime synagogue partner lead by the amazing
Rabbi Maya Leibovich. Home hospitality for Shabbat dinner
with Yozma families.

Shabbat morning services at Hebrew Union College, followed
by Kiddush. Torah study at HUC. Shabbat lunch at the

with Rabbi Kaiserman. Farewell dinner at Olive and Fish,
followed by a free evening for final shopping in Jerusalem.
