Arrive in Israel to be met and assisted at Ben
Gurion Airport by your ITC representative. Take
part in a shmita-year friendly tree planting activity
at Neot Kedumim (arrival time permitting)
Ascent to Jerusalem - Gaze upon the Temple Mount
from the Tayelet, as did Abraham when he prepared
to sacrifice Isaac; take in the breathtaking
view. Hotel check-in

| Friday, August 22 - Jerusalem of Old
|
Enter the Old City of Jerusalem
Proceed to Robinson's Arch (the "Conservative
Kotel") for prayer and reflection. Explore the
Southern Wall Excavations. First timer travelers:
Take a virtual, computerized "walk" through the
ancient Temple Mount at the Davidson Center
Repeat visitors: Visit the Hulda's Gate area with
your guide. Go way back in time to King David's
Jerusalem in David's City and enjoy sloshing
through Hezekiah's water tunnel (strap-on water
shoes and flashlights needed) Free time for lunch
(on one's own) and shopping in the Jewish Quarter.
Return to the hotel to swim, prepare for Shabbat
Kabbalat Shabbat at the Kotel or a synagogue of
your choice. Festive Shabbat dinner at the hotel

| Sunday, August 24 - Those Who Made a Difference
|
Visit the unforgettable Memorial Museum at Yad
Vashem (12 and over only) Alternative for younger
children: At the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo, enjoy
meeting the animals that roamed this land during
Bible times (accompanied by adult/s)
Visit the multi-media Herzl Exhibit, where the
Father of Modern Zionism and his untiring quest
are "brought to life" before your eyes (if available)
Visit Shaarei Tzedek Hospital for an extremely
moving presentation on how the hospital copes with
crisis. Take great Jewish pride in the loving care
given there under tremendous pressure OR Visit
Yad Sarah, a facility that provides free medical
supplies for those in need; assist volunteers there
in constructing walkers for patients. Dinner at Olive
and Fish restaurant. Optional evening visit for first
time travelers: In the Kotel Tunnels, walk alongside
the Western Wall's massive foundation stones

| Monday, August 25 - Freedom Fighters or Fanatics?
|
Early departure for the ascent by cable car to the
mountain fortress of Masada for a tour of this
amazing excavation and a discussion of the terrible
dilemma faced by its Jewish population during
Roman times, including entry to the new Masada
Museum. Optional: take a walk though the Ein Gedi
Nature Reserve. Stop for a dip in the amazing Dead
Sea. Return to Jerusalem for a free evening

| Tuesday, August 26 - Foundations of the Modern State
|
| Visit the Weitzman Institute in Rehovot to learn of
the impressive accomplishments of this multi-talented
Israeli leader and Israel's top science university.
Climb down into the amazing underground, pre-
State bullet factory built by the Haganah under the
noses of the British at the Ayalon Institute.
Proceed to Tel Aviv. First time travelers: At
Independence Hall, relive Ben Gurion's moving declaration
of the State. Repeat visitors: Take a guided
tour of the classical architecture in Nachalat
Binyamin. Visit the Museum of the Diaspora for a
special encounter with Jewish communities around
the world and throughout the ages
Enjoy dinner at Maganda in Tel Aviv's Yemenite
Quarter. Travel north along Israel's coastline for
hotel check-in Dan Panorama Hotel, Haifa

| Wednesday, August 27 - The Golan Heights
|
Travel to the Golan Heights and stop to gaze down
over the Galilee as the Syrians once did. Ascend to
the peak of Har Bental, where you can enter army
bunkers and take in a panoramic view at the crossroads
of three countries. Free time for lunch (on
one's own) in Katzrin, capital of the Golan. Learn
about the history of the Golan Heights and the
valiant story of Gamla, called the "Masada of the
North," at the Golan Antiquities Museum
Glide down the Jordan River in a kayak or raft
Enjoy free time for dinner (on one's own) on the
Tiberias promenade.

|
| Take a panoramic bus tour of Haifa, including views
of the Bahai Gardens. Enjoy a walk through the outdoor
co-existence art exhibit by local Jewish,
Muslim, and Christian artists in the Wadi Nis Nis
market in Haifa (time permitting) Tour the magnificently
excavated ancient city of Tzippori, home to
Rabbi Judah the Prince; explore the site via an
enjoyable ITC family "Site Detectives" program
Walk through the synagogues, courtyards, and
shops of the mystical city of Tzefat. Enjoy a delicious
farewell dinner at Bar-El Restaurant in
