|
Tour the Supreme Court building and learn about Israel's justice
system; Stop at the Knesset Menorah. Visit the Israel Museum
including the new Shrine of the Book and the reopened Holyland
Model. Explore the Biblical and Rabbinic countryside of Israel at
Neot Kedumim; including a biblical lunch.
Stop at Tel Azeka and stand on the cliffs where the Philistines
camped during the battle between David and Goliath. Free evening

Early departure to ascend Masada by cable car.
Spend some time this afternoon at Caesar Dead Sea spa hotel,
including lunch. Travel north through the Jordan River Valley.
Brief visit to Peki'in's ancient synagogue. Hotel check-in and din-
ner. Evening: Program of Jewish-Arab dialogue, organized by the
Masorti synagogue in Kfar Vradim

Tour the synagogues, courtyards, shops and artists
studios of the mystical city of Tzefat. Travel to the Golan
Heights stop to gaze down over the Galilee as the Syrians once
did. Ascend to the peak of Har Bental, where you can enter army
bunkers and take in a panoramic view of three countries. Taste
the award-winning kosher wines at the Golan Winer. Take a boat
ride on the Kinneret, followed by a farewell lakeshore dinner at
Decks;

|
Enjoy a scenic overview of the Bahai Gardens in Haifa and take
the "Peace Walk" in Haifa's Wadi Nis Nis Market, where art by
Jewish, Muslim, and Christian artists is displayed OR Walk
through the fascinating, underground Roman water system that
once fed ancient Caesaria at Mei Kedem near Binyamina (strap-on
water shoes, small towel needed) See ancient history come to life
at the newly-opened multi-media center against the backdrop of
ancient Caesaria. Excavations include an impressive amphitheatre
and aqueduct. Visit Sara Ahronson House in Zichron Yaakov to
learn about the valiant underground work and personal sacrifice of
this freedom fighter and her Nili compatriots (time permitting)
Meet with Rabbi Elisha Walfin and members of the Masorti
Congregation of Zichron Ya'akov. Farewell dinner at the Carmel
Winery. Depart for the airport

Take the cable car to the mesmerizing ocean grottos of Rosh
Hanikra, at Israel's border with Lebanon. Visit with soldiers
guarding Israel's northern border at an IDF base in Shlomi; bring
them some treats from the USA. Continue north to Acco, a city
of three religions. Visit your choice of: a "cool and creepy"
Crusader Fortress; the new exhibit about Acco's years of Muslim
rule at the Turkish Baths; the beautiful Mosque of Jazzar; the
British prison, where Jewish freedom fighters were incarcerated;
the unique Tunisian Synagogue, which is completely decorated with
mosaics depicting stories from Jewish history and traditional texts
(number of stops depends on time available) Meet with Rabbi
Mauricio Balter and members of the Krayot Masorti congregation;
catered supper at the synagogue
