Monday, 30 June - When You Come Into the Land
Midday or morning (ideally) arrival in Israel to be met and assisted at Ben Gurion airport by your ITC representative Climb down into the amazing underground, pre-State bullet factory built by the Haganah under the noses of the British at the Ayalon Institute. Travel to the Dead Sea Region through the Negev Desert. Hotel check-in to enjoy its spa facilities and the amazing Dead Sea. Welcome dinner at the hotel.

Tuesday, 1 July - Freedom Fighters or Fanatics?
Buffet breakfast at the hotel Early departure to ascend the mountain fortress of Masada by cable car or the snake path for shaharit services and a tour of this amazing excavation; discuss the terrible dilem- ma faced by its Jewish population during Roman times. Descend Masada by the Roman Ramp. Travel to Beersheva, capital of the Negev, for lunch (on one's own) Visit Israel's Airforce Museum to view the planes and equipment and to hear the story of this brave fighting force. Travel south to Mitzpe Ramon for hotel check-in. Late afternoon jeep ride into Midbar Zin, stopping for a walk to the Ein Akev Waterfall. Dinner at the hotel -

Wednesday, 2 July - Ascent to Jerusalem
Sunrise tefillot overlooking the Ramon Crater. Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Learn all about this other-worldly geological formation at the Ramon Crater Visitor's Center. Travel north for the ascent to Jerusalem. Visit the tefillin factory in Har Nof. Stop for lunch at Malha Mall's all- kosher food court. Encounter the city of Jerusalem as we gaze upon the Temple Mount from the Haas Promenade, as did Abraham in ancient times; take in the breathtaking view. Hotel check-in to swim, relax. Free time for dinner on one's own. Evening: In the Kotel Tunnels, walk alongside the Western Wall's massive foundation stones

Thursday, 3 July - Layers of History
Buffet breakfast at the hotel Visit Lifeline for the Old, a moving crafts workshop that employs Jerusalem elderly. Shop for unique hand-crafted Judaica items in their store. Visit the state-of-the art Holocaust Memorial Museum and the Children's Memorial at Yad Vashem. Visit the Herzl Exhibit, where the Father of Modern Zionism and his untiring quest are "brought to life" before your eyes (if available) Free evening in Jerusalem (restaurant list to be provided)

Friday, 4 July - Foundations of the Modern State
Buffet breakfast at the hotel - Travel to Tel Aviv Palmach Museum new multi-media presentation At Independence Hall, relive Ben Gurion's moving declara- tion of the State. Sunday, 6 July - The Jordan River Valley
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. At the Burnt House, experi- ence a moving, informative presentation on the destruction of Jerusalem and the Second Temple. Explore the Southern Wall Excavations and take a virtual, computerized "walk" through the Temple Mount at the Davidson Center. Travel north along Israel's border with Jordan. Stop at the ancient Beit Alpha Synagogue to examine its striking mosaic floor; enjoy a short, amusing film about plans to renovate this ancient synagogue two millennia ago. Swim in the won- drous natural pools at Gan Hashlosha, fed by underground springs. Free time for dinner on the Tiberias boardwalk

Monday, 7 July - In the Footsteps of Sages and Mystics
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Explore the magnificently excavated ancient city of Tzippori, home to Rabbi Judah the Prince. Wednesday, 9 July - The Mediterranean Coast
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Take the cable car to the mesmerizing ocean grottos of Rosh Hanikra, at Israel's border with Lebanon. Walk through the amazing Tunisian Synagogue in Acco, which is completely decorated with mosaics depicting stories from Jewish history and tradition- al texts. Visit Yemine Orde to see the wonderful work done there with children in need. In Atlit see the detention camp that held Holocaust refugees, denied entry into Eretz Yisrael by the British. Farewell banquet at the winery in Zichron Ya'akov. Depart for the airport
