Friday Ben Gurion airport / Tel Aviv Upon arrival you will meet our representative and be transferred to your hotel in Tel Aviv.
Saturday Tel Aviv / Jaffa / Caesarea / Haifa / Nazareth We drive for a short visit of the city of Jaffa (Joppa) where we will take a short walking tour in picturesque alleys of the old, fortified town. We will pass by the house of Simon the Tanner and marvel at the views from the hill top. We drive north along the coast to the archaeological ruins of Caesarea, built by Herod the Great in honor of Augustus Caesar. After exploring the ancient ruins we drive to Nazareth to visit the Church of the Annunciation and Mary’s Well. Continue to Tiberias for a short tour of the old center of Jewish learning and check-in to your hotel.
Sunday Safed / Sea of Galilee Drive to Safed, city of the Kabbalah, to visit a synagogue and the artists’ colony. Return to the shores of the Sea of Galilee and Capernaum. Visit the ruins of the ancient synagogue and Peter’s house. Visit Tabgha, where the miracle of the fish and bread took place, and continue to the Mount of Beatitudes. Drive through the Jordan Valley. Overnight in Jerusalem
Monday Free day in Jerusalem or Optional tour to Masada & Dead Sea ($109.00 per person) Drive south through the Jordan Valley to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth at almost 1300 feet (400 meters) below sea level. Drive along the shores of the Dead Sea to Masada, which we will ascend by cable car and tour the ancient fortress where the Zealots made their last stand against the Romans before committing mass suicide in 73 AD. Descend by cable car. We will continue along the shores of the Dead Sea to enjoy the therapeutic qualities of the rich mineral hot springs and Dead Sea mud as well as the unique experience of floating on the rich mineral water of the sea itself. Return to Jerusalem for an overnight
Tuesday Jerusalem (Old City) / Yad Vashem Start the day with a panoramic view of Jerusalem from atop the Mt. of Olives. Enter through one of the Gates to the walled Old City to visit the renewed Jewish Quarter, the Western Wall, the Temple area and the colorful bazaars. Walk along the Via Dolorosa and the Stations of the Cross, ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Drive to Mt. Zion and visit the tomb of King David, the Room of the Last Supper and Dormition Abbey. Continue to Yad Vashem (the memorial to the six million Jews who were killed in the Holocaust). Return to Jerusalem for overnight
Wednesday Jerusalem (New City) / Bethlehem * Visit the Israel Museum’s Shrine of the Book with the famous Dead Sea scrolls, then a visit to the beautifully renovated model of the Herodian city of Jerusalem, dating back to the time of the Second Temple. Afternoon drive to the picturesque village of Ein Karem (the birth place of John the Baptist). Continue to Bethlehem* to visit the Church of the Nativity, Manger Square and a view over the Shepherd’s Fields. Overnight in Jerusalem.
