Sunday, 24, June - USA Departure
Depart on overnight flight to Israel
Monday, 25 June – Welcome to Israel
Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport to be met and assisted by
your Ramah-ITC representative (today's program depends
on arrival time) Proceed to Neot Kedumim for a shehehiyanu
ceremony; tour this biblical agriculture park and
take part in a goat-herding workshop. Proceed to the
modern Hebrew city of Tel Aviv for hotel check-in.
Group dinner in the Yemenite Quarter
Optional evening walk in Old Jaffa
Overnight: Dan Panorama Hotel, Tel Aviv
Tuesday, 26 June – The First Hebrew City
Climb down into the amazing underground, pre-State bullet
factory built by the Haganah under the noses of the
British at the Ayalon Institute. Take part in the mitzvah
of "leket" at the Table to Table project as you harvest
crops for the needy. Possible visit to the Bialik-Rogozin
School in Tel Aviv. Free time for browsing and lunch (on
one’s own) in Nahalat Binyamin open-air crafts market.
Possible visit to the Olympic Experience to learn about
the athletes that represent Israel in international competition.
Dinner on one’s own. Evening option: OPTIONAL

Wednesday, 27 June – HaGolan
Travel north along
Israel’s border with Jordan. Ascend the Golan Heights
and stop to gaze down over the Galilee as the Syrians
once did, Travel through the Golan by jeep, off the
beaten path (Shvilim) Ascend to the peak of Har Bental,
where you can enter army bunkers and take in a
panoramic view at the crossroads of three countries.
Enjoy a tour, tasting, and a chocolate-making workshop
at the delicious chocolate factory at Kibbutz Ein Zivan,
run by immigrants from Argentina. Take a lovely nature
walk through the lush forests and streams of the Banyas
Nature Reserve including the new bridge/loop trail and
falls (time permitting) Evening: Travel back in time at
the excavated Talmudic Village in Katzrin; meet actors
and artisans who will be animating the site; enjoy
ancient-style dancing and a Talmudic feast for dinner
Overnight: Kibbutz Ma’agan Hotel, Tiberias
Thursday, 28 June - HaGalil
Take pride in our soldiers at an IDF base, if available
(Hope for Heroes) Free time for lunch (on one’s own)
Visit the Galilee Circus, a circus project involving Jewish
and Arab Galilee youth working together (Makom Bagalil)
Glide down the Jordan River on a kayak (age 6 and up)
Free time for dinner (on one’s own) on the Tiberias
promenade. Evening: Enjoy the new Shean Nights sound
and light show in the Beit Shean Antiquities
Overnight: Kibbutz Ma’agan Hotel, Tiberias
Friday, 29 June - To Jerusalem
Travel south along Israel's border with Jordan for the
ascent to Jerusalem. Gaze upon the Old City of
Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives; take in the breathtaking
view. Stumble across many archeological finds as
you take part in a hands-on dig through archeological
matter that has been removed, amid controversy, from
under the Temple Mount. Walk through colorful, bustling
Machaneh Yehuda open-air market, as Jerusalem prepares
for Shabbat. Hotel check-in to prepare for
Shabbat. Sabbalat Shabbat as a group overlooking the
Temple Mount from Mount Zion. Shabbat dinner at the
hotel. Oneg Shabbat: “Hats and Ideologies” – an enjoyable
Ramah program in which we “try on for size” the
head coverings worn by different Jewish groups in Israel
and talk about the ideologies they profess

Shabbat, 30 June - Shabbat Shalom
Parashat Hukkat Shabbat services at a synagogue of
your choice (suggestions, walking directions to be provided)
Shabbat lunch buffet at the hotel
Afternoon Shabbat walking tour
Havdalah with Rabbi Rosenbaum followed by a free
evening in Jerusalem

Visit Jerusalem’s 9/11 Memorial (time permitting)
Tour the Old City of Jerusalem and take part in “Roving
the Rova,” Ramah’s interactive family game that explores
the Jewish Quarter, primarily of the 19th century.

Take part in a fascinating tour of the recently rebuilt
Hurva Synagogue, once the Great Synagogue of
Jerusalem
Afternoon Israel Museum option:

Visit the renovated Israel Museum, including the Shrine
of the Book; the Second Temple Model of Jerusalem;
Judaica, art, and archeology exhibits; children’s wing
