Depart Atlanta at 10:30 PM on Delta Airlines non-stop overnight flight to the Holy Land.
Dinner, light meal, and snacks on board.
Afternoon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport.
Travel to Jerusalem for a Welcome Dinner / overnight at our hotel.
After breakfast, visit the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Visit the Ascension site and the Carmelite cloister of the Pater Noster Church commemorating Jesus' gift of the "Our Father". Walk the "Palm Sunday Road" to pray at the Chapel of Dominus Flevit where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane, Church of Nations, and the underground tomb of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Ride to the foothills of Judea to Ain Karem to visit the Church of the Nativity of John the Baptist and Church of the Visitation, commemorating the meeting of Mary and Elizabeth.
Dinner / overnight in Jerusalem.
After breakfast, enjoy a walk into the Holy City of Jerusalem. See the Dome of the Rock, el Aqsa Mosque and the remains of the Herodian Temple. Visit the Western Wall ("Wailing Wall") one of the most sacred places for Jews. Depart for Bethlehem. Enter the Door of Humility into the Church of the Nativity to the site where Jesus was born. Visit the Church of St Catherine next door. Proceed to the Grotto of St. Jerome, the Milk Grotto and the Shepherds' Fields. Shop for holy keepsakes, olive wood crosses and figures, gold and silver Jerusalem crosses, crucifixes, rosaries, etc in Christian Souvenir shops in Bethlehem.
Return to Jerusalem for dinner /overnight.
Following breakfast, enter the Old Walled City, walk to the Crusader Church of St Anne, Pool of Bethesda, Chapel of Flagellation, Lithostrotos and the Arch of the "Ecce Homo" where Jesus was mocked and crowned with thorns. Pay special homage to our Lord and Savior as we walk the Via Dolorosa (the Way of the Cross) to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre which includes the last 4 stations. Visit the Franciscan Chapel at the Cenacle, Upper Room site of the Last Supper, Tomb of King David, Benedictine Abbey commemorating where Mary "fell into eternal sleep", and St Peter in Gallicantu Church where the cock crowed when Peter denied Jesus three times. Visit the Western Wall to observe Shabbat festivities.
Dinner / overnight in Jerusalem.
After breakfast our pilgrimage takes us into the Judean Wilderness, to the Dead Sea and the Oasis of Ein Gedi. After floating in the Dead Sea (bring bathing suit) we proceed to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.

After morning Mass and breakfast, you are FREE to explore and enjoy Jerusalem.
Tonight a "Farewell to Jerusalem" dinner and overnight.
Following breakfast, we depart Jerusalem for Bethany to visit the home of Mary, Martha and Lazarus and visit the Tomb of Lazarus. Jericho, the next highlight of our pilgrimage is acknowledged as the "oldest city in the Western World". Jericho's ancient "tel" offers a magnificent view of the Mount of Temptation, Elisha's Fountains, and the Sycamore tree prominent in the story of Zaccheus. Travel through the Jordan Valley and stop at Yardenit on the River Jordan, a traditional Baptismal site where you may renew your baptismal vows (bring bathing suit).
Proceed to Tiberias for dinner / overnight.
After breakfast, travel through the Horns of Hitten terrain where Saladin defeated the Crusaders in 1187. Continue to Cana of Galilee, where Jesus performed his first miracle - changing water into wine. Couples will have an opportunity to renew their wedding vows here. On to Nazareth to visit the Grotto Chapel, Basilica of the Annunciation and St. Joseph's Church. Proceed to Nain, where Christ raised the widow's only son from the dead, to the Basilica at Mount Tabor-the traditionally-accepted site of the Transfiguration of Jesus- and return to Tiberias for dinner / overnight.
Following breakfast, we journey to Capernaum a focal point of Christ's ministry, Jesus called forth the humble fishermen - Simon Peter, Andrew, James and his brother John - to be his first disciples. Visit excavated homes and a church from that period. In Tabkha, visit the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes --built over the spot where Christ fed 5,000 followers with 2 fish and 5 loaves-- and the Church of the Primacy of Peter where Jesus made a post-resurrection appearance to his disciples. Drive up to the Mount of the Beatitudes to visit the site where Jesus delivered His "Sermon on the Mount". Enjoy a "St. Peter's fish" lunch and a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Remainder of the day is free. Enjoy Dinner on your own. Overnight in Tiberias. Day 10, Thursday, Feb 24 - After breakfast, we depart Tiberias to Mount Carmel, near the port city of Haifa, and visit Stella Maris Convent. Drive south along the shore of the Mediterranean Sea to the ancient City of Caesarea and visit the excavated Roman Theater, Aqueduct and other ruins. Drive thru Tel Aviv to Old Jaffa, one of the oldest towns in the Holy Land and believed to have been founded by Noah's son Japheth. Visit St. Peter's Church that commemorates Peter's life in Jaffa and where he brought Tabitha back from the dead.
Enjoy a "Farewell Israel" dinner before proceeding to Ben Gurion Airport for our overnight Delta flight to the USA.
This morning we arrive in Atlanta and make our way home with cherished memories of our spiritual journey to the Holy Land.
