PRE TRIP TO EGYPT/PETRA/EILAT

 

DAY 1: Sunday, OCT 10th, 2010

Arrival at Cairo International airport.Meeting and assistance through immigration and transfer to your hotel, check-in, dinner at the hotel and overnight Cairo.

DAY 2 : Monday, OCT 11th, 2010

Buffet breakfast, start the tour to visitthe first capital of united Egypt\, Memphis . Here you will see the temple ofPtah , the statue of Ramses II & An alabaster Sphinx. Nearby visit one of themost exciting archaeological sites, Sakkara, this necropolis is dominated by thestep Pyramids of King Zoser, which predate the famous Pyramids at Giza by cen-turies. Lunch will be serving during the tour at a local restaurant. Continue tovisit one of the seven wonders of the world, the Pyramids of Giza, "Cheops,Mekerinus & Chephren". Your tour ends with a visit to the majestic Sphinx,which is the largest single block sculpture located at the foot of the grandestPyramid Chephren. Return to hotel, buffet dinner at the hotel and overnightCairo. Optional tour: Attend sound & light show at Pyramids area.

DAY 3: Tuesday, OCT 12th, 2010

Buffet breakfast, start your tour with avisit the famous Egyptian Museum, here we shall provide you with a brief, butcolorful insight into the five thousand year history of this fascinating land.Lunch will be served during the tour at a local restaurant. Visit Old Cairo, St.Serguis Coptic Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue and continue to the Muslim sector,where you can see Salah El- Din Citadel, followed by Muhammad Ali Mosque andKhan Khalili Bazaar. Return to the hotel, buffet dinner at the hotel andovernight Cairo. Optional tour: Dinner cruise on the Nile (2 hours), includingbelly dancer and folkloric show.

DAY 4: Wednesday, OCT 13th, 2010

Optional day-trip to Alexandria. Return to the hotel, overnight Cairo.

DAY 5: Thursday, OCT 14th, 2010

Buffet breakfast, check- out air- condi-tioned mini coach to St. Catharine. Arrival at St. Catherine, check- in at hotel,buffet dinner and overnight St. Catherine.

DAY 6: Friday, OCT 15th, 2010 Early morning, climb up Mt. Sinai

Enjoy incredible views of the Sinai Wilderness where, according to the book ofExodus, God revealed himself to Moses and where Moses received the TenCommandments. After your departure down the mountain, late breakfast andcheck-out. Transfer to visit St. Catherine Monastery located at the foot of Mt.Sinai, the oldest working Christian Monastery. St. Catherine was built in 557 ADby the Roman Emperor Justinian. Here it is believed that God appeared toMoses in the form of a burning bush. Departure by private mini coach to Taba. Depart Egypt through the Taba border.
Overnight in Eilat.

DAY 7: Saturday, OCT 16th, 2010

Early departure for Petra to explore theamazing decorated red rock formations of the ancient Nabateans. Enter Jordanat the Arava crossing and travel to the Red Rose City by bus (approx. 2.5hours). Tour its treasury, the Roman theatre, and the impressive caves and rockformations of this Nabatean City; buffet lunch included DAY 8: Sunday, OCT 17th, 2010Spend the morning at leisure sampling thedelights of Eilat, including beautiful beaches, your hotel's pool and spa facilities,water-skiing, paddle boats, wind-surfing, banana boats, snorkeling, a swim withthe dolphins, or "snuba"-diving to get up close and personal with Red Sea coraland fish (extra charges apply for most of these activities) Transfer to the EilatAirport for afternoon domestic flight to Tel Aviv to meet up with group arrivingat Ben Gurion Airport.
