Enter the Old City from the Dung Gate and walk to the Western Wall for some private prayer and reflection. View the Dome of the Rock. Drive to Mt. Zion to visit the traditional Tomb of King David then proceed to the restored Jewish Quarter, walk along the Cardo, the colonnaded main street of Byzantine Jerusalem and the Herodian Mansions, a completely excavated residential quarter from 2000 years ago. Walk through the extraordinary Hasmonean (Rabbinical) Tunnel (tunnel schedule permitting). End the day at the Davidson Archaeological Center with its computerized Temple Mount model. Evening: Dinner at the Little Jerusalem restaurant in the Ticho House.

Drive to Tel Aviv and then along Tel Aviv's main streets; see the colorful shops and bustling sidewalk cafes. Continue past the Mann Auditorium, home of the Israeli Philharmonic, Habimah Theatre, the impressive Opera house and Yitzhak Rabin Square, dedicated to the late Prime Minister. On to Independence Hall, where Ben Gurion fervently proclaimed Israel's independence in 1948. Continue to the Palmach Museum for a moving presentation of the accomplishments of this brave pre-State fighting force. Start the day with a tour of the Knesset (Israel's Parliament). Continue to the Hadassah Medical Center at Ein Kerem to see the Chagall Windows. Proceed to the Begin Heritage Center for the new multi media tour. Enjoy a guided tour through the fascinating Nahalot Neighborhood, one of the first outside the walls of the Old City and time to browse through Machaneh Yehuda open-air market as Jerusalem prepares for Shabbat. Evening: Dinner in a local restaurant.

Drive to Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Heroes and Martyrs memorial; visit the Museum, Children's Pavilion and the Avenue of the Righteous Gentiles. Continue to Mount Herzl to pay respects to Israel's military heroes and visit the impressive Herzl Exhibit, where the father of modern Zionism comes to life. Return to hotel, with time to relax and freshen up for Shabbat. Optional Kabbalat Shabbat services in the hotel or a choice of local synagogues (suggestions, walking instructions to be provided; Shabbat begins 4:27pm.) Evening: Shabbat Dinner in the hotel

Travel via the Judean Desert and the shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth, to view the Qumran Caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. See the multi media presentation there and visit the excavations. Continue to Masada. Ascend by cable car to learn of the harrowing struggle of the Jewish population against the Romans. Visit the excavations, Herod's Palace, synagogue, and bathhouse. Return to Jerusalem. Evening: Dinner and entertainment at the home of Gila Bashari in Moshav Ishi

Morning visit to Yad Lakashish (Lifeline for the Elderly), a nonprofit crafts workshop that employs Jerusalem elderly and disabled individuals, with time to shop for unique, hand-crafter Judaica items in their store. Continue on a special visit of an Israeli army base (pending IDF approval) in Jerusalem and Otef Yerushalayim (the defense wall) to gain a better understanding of the geo-political situation. Afterwards, visit the newly reopened Israel Museum (reopening in June 2010 after a 3 year renewal project) including the Shrine of the Book, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls. Evening: Dinner in a local restaurant

Travel along Israel's border with Jordan to Kibbutz Sde Eliyahu for a private tour of this unique Kibbutz. The tour shows how everyday. living is merged with nature, combining an Orthodox Jewish lifestyle with an organic economy in a vibrant, versatile, and cooperative community. Conclude with an organic lunch in the Kibbutz dinning room. Afterwards we take a short drive to the ancient site of Beit Alfa to visit the ancient synagogue with its mosaic floor depicting the signs of the Zodiac. Arrive in Tiberias; plant a tree in Israeli soil in honor or in memory of a loved one. Hotel check-in to freshen up, rest. Evening: Dinner in the hotel, followed by free time on the Tiberias promenade.

Start the day in Tzefat, one of Judaism's holiest cities, where study of the Kabbalah flourished during the golden age. Walk through the picturesque streets to visit one of its ancient synagogues and charming artists' quarter. Continue to Rosh Pina to visit this early settlement; enjoy an audio-visual presentation and the Baron's gardens and artist's workshops and galleries. Return to Tiberias with time to freshen up before dinner. Evening: Cruise on the Sea of Galilee followed by a wonderful lakeshore dinner at Decks Restaurant.

Depart Tiberias and drive across the Galilee, arriving at the sparkling port city of Haifa. Enjoy an overview the golden-domed Bahai Shrine and the colorful Persian Gardens and then drive through Haifa's main streets towards Carmel. Enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the bay area. Continue to Kiryat Tivon for lunch at the home of Cantor Zfira's family. Drive to ancient Caesarea to explore the astounding Roman and Crusader ruins including the impressive theatre and aqueduct. Then visit Caesarea Harbor, with its enjoyable multi-media presentation - see ancient history come to life! Evening: Proceed to Netanya for a farewell dinner at Hayekev Restaurant.
Transfer to Ben Gurion airport for departure.
